Nick Cannon Admits He Has ‘No Plans’ for Baby No. 13: ‘I’m Chilling Right Now’ (Exclusive)

The multi-hyphenate star is dad to 12 children

Nick Cannon is happy being a dad to 12 kids.

The 43-year-old multitalented star talked to PEOPLE exclusively about his plans to start a family in the future as part of his new ad for Buffalo Wild Wings to promote the chain’s “Buy One, Get One Wing” deal.

People ask Cannon if he has any plans to add to his big family. He laughs and says, “Right now I’m just chilling.” As of now, there are no plans in the works.

He then says, “It’s so funny, everyone is always trying to get me to have more kids.” “What, 12 isn’t enough?”

With his ex-wife Mariah Carey, Cannon has twins named Moroccan and Monroe. With Brittany Bell, he has sons named Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon and a daughter named Powerful Queen. With Abby De La Rosa, he has twins named Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and a daughter named Beautiful Zeppelin. With Bre Tiesi, he has a son named Legendary Love and a daughter named Onyx Ice Cole.

Another thing he is proud of is having two kids with Alyssa Scott. Their son Zen died at 5 months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and their daughter Halo Marie Cannon was born in December 2022.

But if Cannon decides to have another child soon, he doesn’t mind that it will be his thirteenth, even though many people think that has to be “bad luck.”

“Thirteen is a good number,” says the host of The Masked Singer. “That’s for sure a good number.”

Cannon says that he is “finally coming up for air” after spending the holidays with his family. He is now “getting ready for all the spring break stuff that’s right on the horizon.”

“So, a lot of going outside again, a lot of basketball coming up again, and just a lot of sports and things outside,” he says. “The kind of things that dads plan their days around are all of their kids’ recreational events.”

“Just hearing your kids say, ‘I love you, daddy,'” Cannon says when asked what the best thing about having eight kids is. Do you get what I mean?”

He goes on to say, “The first time they say it, whether they’re one year old or 18 months, to hearing it from your kids who are almost adults, there’s nothing better than that.” Other “best” moments include “big hugs” and “getting them up from school.”
